Email practices

Permission first.Every time.

Greenroom helps independent artists email announcements to their fans. We built the system so an address is usable only when there is a clear reason that person asked to hear from that artist.

01 / CONSENT

Fans choose to join.

A fan who signs up on an artist page receives a confirmation email and is not subscribed until they confirm. We record when and how that consent was given.

Artists may add one fan at a time only after explicitly confirming that the person agreed to receive marketing email. Purchased, scraped, and bulk-imported lists are not supported.

02 / DELIVERY

One artist, one relationship.

Announcements are written by the artist and sent through Greenroom. Replies go to the artist. Greenroom currently supports email only; it does not send text messages.

Before delivery, we check that the fan is still subscribed and that the address has not hard-bounced or reported spam.

03 / LEAVING

Unsubscribing is specific and immediate.

Every announcement includes a visible unsubscribe link and one-click unsubscribe headers for supporting email clients. Leaving one artist's list does not remove a fan from another artist's list.

Hard bounces and spam complaints suppress an address across Greenroom so another artist cannot continue sending to it.

04 / SAFETY

Sending has guardrails.

Greenroom limits daily sending, processes delivery feedback, and can automatically pause an artist when complaint or hard-bounce rates cross our safety thresholds. Suspended artists cannot send until the issue is resolved.

05 / OPERATOR

Greenroom is a Bandworks project.

Questions about Greenroom or these email practices can be directed through Bandworks.
